The crest feels more like a soft/fleece-like patch attached to the shirt rather than embroidered or heat-pressed, but it looks very durable and well made. The fabric is navy blue rather than black, in case anyone is wondering.
Regarding the sizing, in my case an L fits more like somewhere between an L and an M in European sizing.
